Hedrick’s hosting annual Baby Animal Festival in Nickerson Saturday

NICKERSON, Kan. (KSNW) — Hedrick’s Exotics Animal Farm, located at 7910 N. Roy L Smith Rd., is hosting its annual Baby Animal Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

Hedrick’s says the festival will be a whimsical celebration of spring and new beginnings.

“Come meet our newest arrivals and learn all about the adorable baby animals on the farm at our Animal Spotlight presentations! From fluffy llamas to Tiny the Tortoise, there’s something for everyone to ‘aww’ over!” Hedrick’s said.

Company donates $1M to K-State for ag innovation

Guests can pet and feed animals at the interactive petting area.

Other attractions include:

  • Baby Animal Selfie Station

  • Pig Races

  • Live music by local band Hyway 14

  • Food from Lost in the Sauce, Scoops Ice Cream and Hodgepodge Sweets

  • Pony Rides $5

  • Camel Rides $8

  • Open House at Hedrick’s Bed & Breakfast

Tickets to the event are $10 for anyone over the age of two and can be purchased online.

If you are planning to make a special trip for the event, Hendrick’s says you can get a 20% discount if you stay at Hedrick’s Bed & Breakfast Inn.
