Heather Rae Young Says She Plans to Change Her Name After Marrying Tarek El Moussa

Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young plans to change her name after marrying her fiancé Tarek El Moussa.

On a recent episode of Dear Media's Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Young and El Moussa joined host Amanda Hirsch to dish about their relationship. The couple spoke on how they met, El Moussa's stint as a vegan, and their wedding plans — which we've been tracking here. As Young revealed during the episode, she does intend to take her fiancé's last name after walking down the aisle.

"Are you going to be Heather Rae Young El Moussa?" Hirsch asked the bride-to-be. "I’m going to be Heather Rae El Moussa. I’m going to drop my last name," the 33-year-old Selling Sunset star replied.

However, El Moussa chimed in that his future wife may also be dropping her middle name, Rae. "We might go Heather El Moussa, because Heather Rae El Moussa... that’s what, four words?" he said. Young agreed and confirmed that "it might just be Heather El Moussa." Either way, she expressed that she's just "excited to be Mrs. El Moussa."

The Netflix star also shared some details about her wedding dress. "I ended up choosing Galia Lahav," she confirmed, adding "she's doing my wedding gown and also my rehearsal dinner dress, which he chose," Young said referring to El Moussa. In fact, Young visited the Galia Lahav shop in Los Angeles last week with her Selling Sunset co-star Chrishell Stause to have her rehearsal dinner dress fitted. Galia Lahav is also the designer behind co-star Christine Quinn's two black wedding dresses.

While El Moussa and Young still haven't set a date in stone for their wedding, they gave somewhat of a hint to Hirsch. "I can tell you we are actually going to do it earlier next year," Young said, adding that the pair has been busy with filming and renovating their new home in Newport Beach.
