They say everyone has a doppelgänger in the world, but some people make their own. Case in point? Heather Locklear’s look-alike daughter Ava Sambora, who just posted two new photos on Instagram that have fans gushing over how much she resembles her famous mom. Ava, the 21-year-old daughter of Locklear and Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora, seems to be a chip off the (not-so-old and super-fabulous) block.

Sambora took to Instagram on July 20 to share a few photos of herself in a figure-flattering white dress. Per the Daily Mail, the snapshots were actually taken over the weekend at Locklear’s home in Thousand Oaks, California. According to the outlet, Ava had been squeezing in quality time with her mother after Locklear’s recent release from rehab. Back in November 2018, Locklear — who has struggled with both mental health and substance abuse issues in the past — was placed on an involuntary 72-hour psychiatric hold following a fight with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. By December, she had returned to rehab, from which she reportedly left shortly before Christmas only to return in early May of this year.

So, if the Daily Mail’s source is right and Ava was in Thousand Oaks to spend time with her mom, it could certainly explain the young model-slash-actress’s simple caption: “Happy.”

Not surprisingly, fans were quick to point out Ava’s natural beauty, calling her everything from an “angel” to a “doll.” And, of course, several alluded to Locklear, calling Ava “as beautiful as your mom.” It isn’t just her looks that Ava has inherited from her iconic Melrose Place mom — she has a burgeoning acting career, too.

Ava, who goes by “Ava Locklear” professionally, made her debut in the 2012 Judd Apatow comedy This Is 40. In the time since, she’s enjoyed cameos on the TV series Good Luck Charlie and Fresh Off the Boat before landing the TV movie Mommy Be Mine. Now, she currently has a feature film in post-production: The Great Illusion, in which she’ll star opposite Selma Blair.
