Heather Locklear Sends Heartfelt Birthday Wishes to Lookalike Daughter

Heather Locklear celebrated her daughter Ava's 26th birthday with a heartfelt note.
The Melrose Place alum made an Instagram post on Oct. 4, sharing adorable, rare throwback photos of herself with her child throughout the years, starting with a baby picture. She ended the carousel with three snaps that appear to be from Ava's latest celebration, showing her lookalike daughter blowing out the candles of a chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and Oreos.
In the caption, the 62-year-old wrote, "Happy Birthday to my favorite person on earth! You are stronger, smarter, and more beautiful than you can ever imagine. I’m so glad God trusted me to be your mama."
Fans couldn't help pointing out how much Ava resembles her mom in the comments.
"Happy birthday 🎈 to your beautiful girl that looks so much like you 💗," someone wrote. Another fan shared, "She's beautiful. You two look like twins."
Ava is Locklear's only child, whom she shares with ex-husband Richie Sambora. In an essay published on People in October 2020, Ava wrote about the close bond she shares with her mom.
"My mom has shown me kindness in so many ways. I struggle with anxiety, but about a year ago it was very debilitating. I live almost an hour away from her, and when I would have anxiety attacks, she would drive over and visit me," she noted.
The 26-year-old continued, "Anytime [sic] of the day, she would stop what she was doing and come to comfort me. When I would insist she did not have to, she would stay on the phone with me late into the night, until I was calm enough to sleep."
