Hear Ye! Town Crier Announces Royal Baby No. 3
The day we've been waiting for is finally here: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a boy at 11:01 a.m. on April 23rd at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London.
Without question, town crier Tony Appleton has been the most anxious about the arrival of the new prince. After receiving the long-awaited call earlier this morning, Appleton went to work - and it didn't disappoint.
He made his entrance on the steps of the Lindo Wing by ringing a bell and shouting "Oyez, Oyez, Oyez," which means "hear ye."
Then he got straight to business and read the official news:

If he looks familiar, well, there's good reason. Appleton announced the birth of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Royal duties aside, the 81-year-old currently serves as a town crier in Bury St. Edmunds, a town in Suffolk, and in Romford.
In a post-announcement interview, he admitted that he predicted the third royal baby would be a boy (he was right!). Now he's betting that he'll be named "Phillip." Only time will tell...

Don't worry, this isn't the last you'll see of Appleton. He's expected to make the proclamation for the royal wedding in May. Hear ye!
