Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have more in common than marrying royals—they were both active in musical theater.

Though Markle obviously took her talents much further in the entertainment world, the Princess of Wales is garnering attention on social media for starring as Eliza Doolittle in her 1993 St. Andrew's School production of My Fair Lady.

Thanks to a royal fan Instagram account and the magic that is TikTok, a throwback video surfaced of Middleton, then 11 years old, singing a solo from "Wouldn't It Be Loverly."

In the clip, Middleton's hair is pulled back and she wears a shawl as the down-on-her-luck Doolittle before her famous glow-up, crooning, "Lots of chocolate for me to eat / Lots of coal makin' lots of heat / Warm face, warm hands, warm feet / Oh, wouldn't it be loverly."

Middleton's musical talent also extends to piano, and she famously showcased her skills at tickling the ivories in her Royal Carols: Together at Christmas holiday special in December 2021 to accompany singer Tom Walker.

She also made a surprise appearance performing with 2022 winners, Ukraine's The Kalush Orchestra, in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

In 2017, she even helped conduct an orchestra at the Hamburg Philharmonic in Germany during a royal visit with Prince William.

Middleton began her music education with piano lessons as a pre-teen.

Her instructor, Daniel Nicholls, previously told The London Evening Standard (via BBC News), "I don't think anyone would say she was going to be a concert pianist, but she was good at it, she always did everything she was told." A bit backhanded, perhaps, but still a compliment nonetheless—and Nicholls was actually on hand to play an original piano composition for Middleton's royal wedding to Prince William in 2011, so we're guessing there's no beef there.

According to Classic FM, the princess also snag in her school choir and played the flute in her school orchestra with her sister Pippa, in a group dubbed the "Tootie-Flooties." Cute!
