"Studies show that people who cook at home more often are likely to eat more vegetables, make better decisions when they are eating, and have a healthier relationship with food," she says. Jen's tips include:

How to use leftover jelly in a jar: She says to add equal parts oil and vinegar, plus salt and pepper, into the jar and shake to create a DIY berry vinaigrette salad dressing.

How to make grating cheese easier: She suggests spraying the grater with a vegetable or oil olive spray, which she says makes the grating smoother and will allow for an easy cleanup.

How to clean shellfish at home: Jen says to soak the shellfish in water a few tablespoons of flour for about 30 minutes, which she says will help expel the grittiness that is often found in shellfish.
