HBO Max New Releases: The Best Shows & Movies to Watch in December

First, it was Netflix. Then, it was Amazon Prime. And now, HBO Max is offering a sneak peek at its new releases.

The streaming service has released a list of exciting titles that will be added to its database in December 2021. There are multiple classic movies, like Chicago, Miss Congeniality, No Country for Old Men and The Wedding Singer.

There’s also a slew of HBO Max originals set to debut that month. This includes the all-new Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That…, which reunites Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis). Finding Magic Mike will also be released in December, so prepare for a whirlwind of NSFW performances. Oh, and how could we forget about Station Eleven, pandemic-survival drama is based on the best-selling novel by Emily St. John Mandel?

1. 'And Just Like That…'

2. 'Summer Camp Island'

Premiere date: December 9

This family-friendly series introduces viewers to Oscar and his best friend, Hedgehog, who embark on a variety of summer camp voyages.

3. 'Finding Magic Mike'

Premiere date: December 16

Watch contestants undergo a Magic Mike Live bootcamp in this all-new reality series, which features Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thede and more celebs as judges.

4. 'Station Eleven'

Premiere date: December 16

Based on Emily St. John Mandel’s best-selling novel, the ten-episode series follows a group of people who survive a devastating flu.

5. 'A Forbidden Orange'

Premiere date: December 17

A Forbidden Orange examines the events that led to the first public screening of A Clockwork Orange in Spain after it was originally banned. The documentary coincides with the film’s 50th anniversary.

6. 'The Matrix Resurrections'

Premiere date: December 22

The Warner Bros. film is the fourth installment in the franchise. This time, Neo (Keanu Reeves) finds himself back inside the Matrix.
