The official trailer for the second season of HBO's Tokyo Vice series is here.

Debuting February 8 on Max, season two will feature a total of 10 episodes and will premiere with two episodes in its first week. Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe will return as American journalist Jake Adelstein and Japanese detective Hiroto Katagiri, respectively:

"Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, season two of the series, filmed on location in Tokyo, takes us deeper into the city’s criminal underworld as Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) comes to realize that his life, and the lives of those close to him, are in terrible danger."

Joining Elgort and Watanabe in the main cast are Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Show Kasamatsu, Ayumi Ito, alongside new series regulars Yosuke Kubozuka and Miki Maya.

Tokyo Vice first debuted in 2022 and is based on Adelstein's 2009 memoir of the same name, which recounts his time in Tokyo as the first non-Japanese reporter for Yomiuri Shimbun, one of the country's largest newspapers.
