Hayley Kiyoko's Red Carpet Brow Secret is Benefit's Brow Zings Pro Palette

Musician Hayley Kiyoko hit the red carpet at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on August 26th looking absolutely gorgeous; we called her beachy waves, glowing bronzed skin, and peachy lip color one of our best beauty looks of the evening. The most eye-catching part of her stunning look? Her bold, glam brows, which were striking but still soft and natural. If you, like us, can’t stop thinking about Hayley’s brows and how you can recreate them at home, you’re in luck, because we’ve got the secret to those angelic arches: Benefit Cosmetics’s NEW Brow Zings Pro Palette, which officially hits shelves on September 24.

Benefit has established itself as the go-to brow expert, with a handful of products dedicated specifically to shaping, defining, and grooming your brows. The new Brow Zings Pro Palette builds upon the classic Brow Zings palette with a whopping four long-lasting, silky-smooth brow powders in a variety of shades, two high-pigment waxes and one in clear to sculpt and seal in your brow look, and two double-ended brushes to help you create nearly any brow look you can imagine. The palette comes in two shades: Light-Medium and Medium-Deep, and retails for $39. If you just can’t wait to get your hands on it, you may be in luck. The Brow Zings Pro Palette launches early for Ulta’s Diamond and Platinum members, who can nab a palette of their own on September 3.

Teen Vogue spoke to the makeup artist behind Hayley’s look, Marla Vasquez, and got all the details on the new palette. “I love the Brow Zings Pro Palette because it’s all you need in one,” she said. “You can play around with the shades to create new looks dependent on your client or mood! The brushes that come in the package are amazing and allow easy application for anyone.” In addition, the new palette gives you more shades to mix and match, something both newbies and makeup experts can enjoy. “You’re getting the same quality ingredients as the original best-selling Brow Zings down to the brush, but with more shades and formulas to play with,” Vasquez said.

Vasquez described Hayley’s VMAs look as “bold and soft at the same time,” and used the palette to give her brows similar vibe. “A great tip is after you have completed your desired brow, apply the clear wax all over and brush out with the spoolie for a more natural feathery effect that has serious hold,” she said. The brow trend isn’t going anywhere, and creating a Hayley-style “bold and soft” brow is easy with Benefit's top notch products. “A strong brow matters because it draws attention to your eyes. Eye contact communicates confidence and power. It allows people to respect your inner and outer beauty,” Vasquez told us, and we totally agree. We’ll be sculpting strong brows of our own when the Brow Zings Pro Palette hits the shelves on September 24.
