Hayao Miyazaki is set to present his final film later this week. The Studio Ghibli animated film, How Do You Live? will be the first of his films to ever release at IMAX, as well as other premium formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby Cinema and DTS:X.

As fans eagerly wait for the premiere of How Do You Live?, it is important to note that this will also mark Miyazaki's first film in a decade, becoming the most anticipated film coming to Japanese theaters in years. The animation master, now 82, worked alongside Toshio Suzuki for the film. Leading up to the release later this week, the studio had confirmed that there will be no trailers nor promotional materials for How Do You Live? ahead of the release as they do not want fans to go into the movie with preconceptions. Suzuki said in regards to this method, "Deep down, I think this is what moviegoers latently desire."

Ghibli described the film as "a grand fantasy" that is expected to be loosely-based on Japanese author Genzaburo Yoshino's 1973 novel of the same title. It is a coming-of-age novel that focuses on the emotional and philosophical development of a young boy following the death of his father. Studio Ghibli fans in Japan can catch the film arriving on July 14. However, global fans may have to wait a while longer since there is no release date outside of Japan just yet.
