Marathon Clicktight Convertible Car Seat

This is the newer version of the convertible car seat that I used for my own children. This thing is a tank. It’s not as easy to install as the Graco, but it’s not difficult either, thanks to their patented ClickTight installation mechanism. This is both a rear-facing and forward-facing car seat that can be used from 5 to 65 pounds.

The covers on this one are even easier to care for than the Graco because of the fact that they are machine-washable and -dryable. Overall, it’s a great seat and a great value you can’t miss out on!

Gold Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo with Carryall Storage (Moonstone Gray)

The latest entry to the car seat and stroller combination market, the Evenflo Gold Shyft DualRide (the name is regrettable, arguably) is a great car seat and a great stroller, and what sets this one apart is that it has space for storage. Most of the combination car seat and strollers have almost no storage.

SnugRide SnugLock 35 LX Infant Car Seat

The Graco SnugRide has been one of the bestselling infant car seats for two decades. It's a ubiquitous piece of baby equipment and I'm happy to say that it's been thoroughly modernized in the past few years. It's easier to install, simple to clean, and so much easier to adjust.

Gold Revolve360 Extend All-in-One Rotational Car Seat with SensorSafe (Moonstone Gray)

The Evenflo Revolve360 was one of the first rotating car seats on the market. This model is a convertible car seat that is made for extended rear facing, then traditional forward facing, and transitioning into a booster. The cover is machine washable, the base is easy to clean, and I swear, it's not hard to install.

The Evenflo Revolve360 was one of the first rotating car seats on the market. This model is a convertible car seat that is made for extended rear facing, then traditional forward facing, and transitioning into a booster. The cover is machine washable, the base is easy to clean, and I swear, it's not hard to install.

City GO 2 Infant Car Seat

This is hands-down the softest car seat I've ever felt. It's also one of the simplest to install. The whole thing is really well-crafted, with an anti-rebound bar, no rethread harness, and simple belt-path install option. The Baby Jogger infant seat is one of my favorites of the past year.

Boulevard Clicktight Convertible Car Seat

The Boulevard is just a bit more deluxe than the Marathon. You'll find easier-to-remove fabrics, a bit more room with the cushion inserts, and a simpler install. But overall, they’re very comparable. This one has the easy-wash fabrics that are washer- and dryer-safe, making it one of the easiest to clean.

B-Safe Gen2 Flexfit+ Infant Car Seat, Drift SafeWash

I love the B-Safe Gen2 car seat. Not only is it one of the easiest car seats I've ever installed, it's the easiest to clean thanks to the fact that you can throw the fabrics in the washer and dryer. The head cushions feel really dense, but very soft, and the whole seat is a bit like a cross between a cradle and an egg, keeping baby feeling safe.

B-Safe Gen2 Flexfit Infant Car Seat, Twilight SafeWash

I love the B-Safe Gen2 car seat. Not only is it one of the easiest car seats I've ever installed, it's the easiest to clean thanks to the fact that you can throw the fabrics in the washer and dryer. The head cushions feel really dense, but very soft, and the whole seat is a bit like a cross between a cradle and an egg, keeping baby feeling safe.

One4Life ClickTight All-in-One Car Seat

The One4Life car seat by Britax is the maestro of the line. It can accommodate kids from 5 to 120 pounds in different modes, from rear-facing as an infant, to seat belt booster once they get to elementary school. Honestly, your child is more likely to hit the legal requirement for car seats in your state before they grow out of this one.

Pria All-in-1 Convertible Car Seat

Affordable luxury and solid design is what you get when you buy a Maxi-Cosi Pria convertible car seat. Even better when it's 37% off. It can be used from birth until 100 pounds in different modes, the fabrics are all able to be washed in the machine, and they dry quickly on the line. The install can be a bit tricky, but when it's in? It's in.

Magellan LiftFit All-in-One Convertible Car Seat

Potentially the most-comfortable car seat for toddlers on this list, the Maxi-Cosi Magellan boasts the most recline positions of any car seat on this list. It's made to be the only car seat you'll need, able to be used from 5 to 100 pounds. The inserts are durable, soft, and cozy for your baby while remaining breathable. The cupholders are dishwasher-safe, and the harness is a no-rethread 5-point style.

Pria Sport Max Convertible Car Seat

The Pria Sport has everything that the original Pria has, in a slightly more compact package with a smaller upper weight limit (65 pounds max). And the finishes aren’t as luxe. That being said, it’s a great car seat with quick-clip, no-rethread harness, easy-to-clean fabric, and high-density foam protection.

Highpoint Backless Belt-Positioning Booster Seat

There are a few reasons why people choose to switch from a convertible to a high-back booster, like fitting more seats in a car and comfort for your kid. Plus, it’s easier for kids to get in and out of themselves. The Highpoint is a wonderful paragon of the type, shifting from five-point booster to belt booster with no-fuss fabrics and quick-click buttons.

The 4Ever is a convertible seat that is one of the easiest-to-install that I’ve ever tested. It’s a bit wider than many convertibles, but seeing as how you can use it from birth until your kid no longer needs a car seat, that makes sense. It goes from a rear-facing infant seat to a rear-facing toddler seat, to a forward-facing toddler seat, to a booster with a seat belt, and finally, a backless booster. That’s a ton of utility for $299.

The KeyFit ClearTex is an infant car seat suitable for kids ranging 4 to 30 pounds with machine-washable fabrics, UPF 50+ rated canopy, and an easy click-in base. I love this car seat not only because it’s generally one of the more affordable brands that don’t skimp on quality but also because the handle on this infant seat is really comfortable — and although that might not sound super important, trust me, it is.

MyFit ClearTex Harness + Booster Car Seat

The armrests on this car seat are a favorite of our toddler testers. The easy-to-adjust headrest and easy-to-clean fabrics make it a favorite of their parents. It’s a dual booster seat that works with the harness or the seat belt, depending on your child’s age. It has a base that’s simple to install with an easy-to-read leveler. There’s a ton of value in this model — and parents absolutely love it.

Turn2Me 3-in-1 Car Seat

Tired of straining your neck to put your kid in their car seat? The Graco Turn2Me is a rotating car seat that swivels on its base for easy ins and outs.

It’s the same quality and integrity as the other Graco convertible car seats but is much easier to deal with. It works for rear-facing and forward-facing, and it’s suitable for babies from 4 to 100 pounds!

OneFit ClearTex Slim All-in-One Car Seat

This is a slightly more upmarket version of the Chicco MyFit, and I’ll tell you where it’s different. Yes, it’s both rear-facing and forward-facing, and it can be used as a booster with a seat belt.

What’s different with this one is that you can use it from birth. It’s a truly convertible car seat, ready from the time you take the baby home until they no longer need a car seat. The fabrics are machine-washable and not that hard to remove.

Parents love the additional legroom that this car seat provides, thanks to its engineering and the way it sits on the seat. The dishwasher-safe cup holders are also a great addition. This one isn’t as easy to install as some others, but again, it’s not that hard.
