Why the couple will almost certainly return to host Season 5.

Keep your gold goblets raised, because Love is Blind's fifth season is in the air. The streamer renewed the hit series, which first premiered in 2020, through Season 5 following the release of Season 2 in 2022.

After a fourth season that saw three couples say "I do" and a glitchy reunion that was watched by a whopping 6.5 million viewers, Love is Blind is set to return with a new crop of singles in a new city. Before we see who from the pod squad will make it to the altar next, here is everything we know so far about Season 5 of Love is Blind.

What is the  Love is Blind season 5 release date?

Netflix has not announced a premiere date for Season 5, but given that Season 4 premiered in March 2023 it seems possible that fans could see another season at some point in 2023. After all, two seasons of Love is Blind premiered in 2022 (Season 2 in February 2022 and Season 3 in October 2022).

Will Nick and Vanessa Lachey host season 5 of Love is Blind?

Nick and Vanessa Lachey have hosted the Netflix series (underwhelmingly, according to many critics) since its debut in 2020. But following the Season 4 reunion special, fans petitioned to remove the married couple as hosts.

Libby Cross, who started the "Remove Nick and Vanessa Lachey as the Hosts of Love is Blind" petition, which has garnered more than 34,000 signatures as of this writing on April 21, stated that the Season 4 reunion "felt very forced, rehearsed and ingenuine [sic] regardless of any editing that they did. The hosts showed bias towards certain contestants which felt like an obvious manipulation of the viewer to dislike certain contestants."

It's worth noting that Season 4 cast member Paul Peden also accused Vanessa of having "personal bias" due to the way she grilled him over a comment he made about Micah. “I was like, ‘F--k man.’ They kept drilling, drilling it down on me,” he told Entertainment Tonight in an interview after the reunion.

“I think I said my piece. I think Vanessa might have had a little bit of personal bias in that scenario or at least I kind of detected that. I don’t know. But that’s just my assumption based on how she continued to drill into it after I gave my full rationale for why I felt the way that I did.”

The petition continued, "...There was A LOT wrong with this season’s reunion, and almost all of it led back to hosts Nick and Vanessa Lackey. I really enjoy this show and want to see it continue to be successful. Join me in asking Netflix to replace Nick and Vanessa as host of LIB….. with LAUREN AND CAMERON HAMILTON. If you agree, please sign this petition and sign the one below to make Lauren and Cameron the new hosts!"

Other fans on Twitter have expressed their desire to see Season 1 favorites Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton take over as hosts.

There's only one problem: Season 5 has already filmed, presumably with the Lacheys.

Has Love is Blind season 5 already filmed?

According to Nick Lachey, Season 5 has already been shot.

“We've filmed five seasons,” he told Women's Health in an interview after Season 3.  “Every single one has been so different from the others, so that's what makes it interesting, what makes it intriguing for us allows us to approach every single season with a fresh attitude and fresh perspective.”

Where will season 5 of Love is Blind be set?

Every season of Love is Blind has featured singles in a new city.

  • Season 1 was Atlanta

  • Season 2 was Chicago

  • Season 3 was Dallas

  • Season 4 was Seattle.

It's unclear at this point where Season 5 will be set. Back in November 2022, Kinetic Content Casting announced that they were "casting Charlotte singles for the next season of Love Is Blind." There was another notice in September that year for Love is Blind casting in Tampa, FL, Washington, D.C. and Detroit, MI.

So far, the possibilities are all over the map.
