Harry Styles Has Been Writing New Music While Practicing Social Distancing

It's day 713 of social distancing — or at least, it feels like that — and a lot of folks are fighting the inevitable boredom that comes with staying inside for weeks. While passing the time gets more difficult as the days go on — how many Netflix shows can you watch before your eyes fall out? — staying busy is the best way to forget about being isolated and away from your normal life. And thank goodness, one of our favorite artists has been staying busy creating music for the pleasure of us all: Harry Styles.

In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Harry opened up about what he's been doing to pass the time while practicing social distancing. "I’ve been writing so much," he told Zane, per Rolling Stone. "To be honest, I’m doing some of the stuff that I should be doing more often anyway. I should be playing the guitar more. I should be writing poems and lyrics more. So I’ve been doing a lot of that."

New music!? We are here for it! Of course, Harry didn't reveal whether or not he'd be releasing any of the new songs soon, but if the tracks are even close to the caliber of Fine Line, we know we'll love them. However, he did state that he thinks more performers will be releasing music throughout the next few months. "Artists need to express themselves through music and writing and film and so many different ways, who are now having a lot of extra time with no distractions," he added.

When he's not writing music, Harry told British Vogue that he's spending his days doing face masks and learning Italian. We love a well-rounded king!
