The 2021 Grammy Awards started with a huge name: Harry Styles. The three-time nominee (Best Music Video, Best Pop Vocal Video, and Best Pop Solo Performance), offered up a jazzy rendition of his track "Watermelon Sugar" during his first-ever performance at the awards. He took the stage in an all-black custom Gucci leather ensemble, but his very, very long fuzzy scarf almost stole the show.

Styles's leather 'fit featured a cropped blazer, no shirt, and wide-leg flared pants. Of course, he had his usual handful of rings (H and S present and accounted for) and a long, knee-grazing green scarf.

Sadly, the statement accessory wouldn't last the whole performance. Partway through, Styles tossed it aside, giving fans an unobstructed view of his chest, tattoos and all. It was something that host Trevor Noah mentioned after Styles took his bow, saying he would have opted for a shirt.

2021 marks Styles's first nominations as a solo artist. His former band, One Direction, never earned the distinction, though it won 177 other awards, according to Express.
