If you thought there was no way you’d hear a One Direction deep cut performed live in 2023, we’re glad to be the bearers of good news: Harry Styles whipped out some 1D fan favorites during his first performance in nearly two months. The “Satellite” singer kicked off the European leg of his Love On Tour in Horsens, Denmark on May 14, 2023, and he sang a snippet of his former band’s track “Best Song Ever” off their 2013 album, Midnight Memories. Fans also posted clips of him performing the entirety of 1D’s deep-cut “Stockholm Syndrome” sandwiched between tracks from his solo albums Harry’s House and Fine Line.

This isn’t the first time Harry has performed “Stockholm Syndrome” during his solo career—the Grammy winner also sang the track during an appearance on the Today show in May 2017. While he usually sticks to the band’s debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” for his tour set lists (which he’s still performing during the Love On Tour, BTW), the callback to his boy band roots with “Stockholm Syndrome” and “Best Song Ever” comes as a pleasant surprise to fans.

When asked about the possibility of a One Direction reunion during the final episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, Harry teased that it could happen down the line since the band went on hiatus in 2016. “I fear that it’s not a yes or no question,” Harry said. “I think I would never say never to that. If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t.”

With Harry rocking his vintage 1D T-shirt and Niall Horan sending his unreleased tracks to his former bandmates, we can only hope that a One Direction reunion may be on the horizon sooner rather than later. 🥹👀
