You hear a knock, you open up the door, and standing in front of you is James Corden and Harry Styles — wyd? 👀

From Carpool Karaoke to Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts to Crosswalk the Musical, you can always count on James Corden to come up with the funniest segments for his celebrity guests. This time, he recruited Harry Styles to help him film a music video for Harry’s song “Daylight” off of Harry’s House with only three hours and $300.

The pair took to the streets of Brooklyn and knocked on random doors to find an apartment to use as the set for the music video. After a couple of no’s, James ended up at the apartment of four girls who agreed to let him film in their space for The Late Late Show with James Corden. “It’s not just me, we’re shooting a video for Mr. Harry Styles,” he explained while dramatically revealing that Harry had been hiding out in the hallway.

“So…he’s gonna be a lot of places in here,” revealed one of the girls as she gave James a tour of her bedroom, showing him a drawing of Harry Styles as Harry Potter, a collage with his name, a couple of One Direction perfumes, and a One Direction book. “Right, we need to hide all of this because I’m worried you’re a psychopath,” joked James.

With only three hours to finish the entire video, James directed Harry as he lip-synced to “Daylight” in the bathtub, the hallway, the living room, and the kitchen. “I cannot stress enough that this was James’ idea,” explained a playfully-exasperated Harry. “I was in a Christopher Nolan movie, and now this [bathroom] is my dressing room.”

The girls in the apartment hung up party decorations, cut up shiny confetti to use as a prop in the music video, and even called some friends to come over. “We’re filming a music video with Harry Styles and he’s actually here. […] Get your a** over here now!” they explained into the phone.

With glow-sticks, party decor, and a chaotic James Corden in a head-to-toe green screen suit, the pair put together an impressive music video for “Daylight” that the apartment girls and their friends will never forget. Watch the full video below!
