Harry Styles just dropped big news in a mysterious TV ad, and according to anonymous sources at Billboard, the commercial means his first solo single will drop on April 7.

A 30-second spot airing on TV in the United Kingdom shows Harry walking through a cloud of smoke as a moody, melodic piano track plays in the background. The clip ends with Harry gazing into the camera - and then the date April 7 flashes on screen. Watch the teaser below.

News that Harry had signed a deal with Columbia Records broke last June, and in February, Columbia Records CEO Rob Stringer couldn't help but hype up the forthcoming album.

"We're close and we're very excited," he told Billboard. "We have a record we're incredibly excited about, and it's not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think [Harry is] here to stay."

Harry's been silent on Instagram for the past six months, but he teased - well... something - on Instagram by posting three blank photos right in a row today. (Because life isn't fair, they racked up more than 400,000 likes each in just three hours. Sigh.)

April 7 can't come soon enough.
