Harry Styles Dressed as Elton John for Halloween—and the Resemblance Is Uncanny

The singer channeled Elton John’s iconic flamboyant style (and it’s not the first time, either).

It’s Halloween weekend, which means it’s high time for celebrities to pull out all the stops with costumes that are unabashedly over the top. (After all, when you’re a global superstar, you certainly have the wardrobe budget—there’s no excuse not to go all out). Last night, at the Casamigos Halloween party in Beverly Hills, California, Harry Styles did just that: he shut down the bash by dressing up as the legendary artist Elton John. How exactly did he channel the “Rocket Man” singer’s flamboyant style, though? By delivering a special nod to one of his most famous performance looks, of course.

Styles’s costume was a spot-on imitation of John’s iconic sparkle-covered Dodgers uniform, which he originally wore for performances at the Dodger Stadium in L.A. in 1975. Styles naturally nailed the look, right down to the crystal-covered baseball cap and sleeves. This isn’t the first time he has taken style cues from Elton, though: Both stars have an affinity for glam rock suits and gender-bending heeled boots, and it’s obvious Styles has drawn inspiration from his tour style before.

Taking his Halloween look one step further, Styles then accessorized with oversized, embellished sunglasses by Gucci—which is fitting considering both Styles and John are muses to the label’s creative director Alessandro Michele—and finished it off with sporty Nike sneakers.
