Harry Styles's Elton John Halloween Costume May Have a Secret Meaning

Leave it to Harry Styles, a musical genius and fashion icon, to kill the Halloween game this year with an unexpected costume that may have predicted the Los Angeles Dodgers World Series game 3 win. Wow, look at his mind!

Ok, I'll back it up a bit. Harry hit up a Beverly Hills Halloween party on Friday, October 26 dressed as Elton John circa his Dodgers Stadium performance in 1975, sporting a sparkly, bedazzled baseball uniform with Elton’s signature oversized flashy sunglasses and a matching blue baseball cap. It was a flawless rendition of Elton’s original, and Harry certainly pulled it off. That wasn’t all, though — one Twitter user couldn’t help but notice the significance of the costume and the date on which it was worn.

"You're telling me that Elton John performed at the Dodgers Stadium on October 26 and dressed in his iconic sparkly jersey, which Harry just so happens to be wearing tonight, October 26th, at a Halloween party, at the same time the Dodgers are playing in the World Series. What," Twitter user @guccixmedicine wrote — in all caps for emphasis. Yep, apparently Elton John's 1975 Dodgers Stadium performance also took place on October 26, which is entirely too spooky for words.

So...did Harry plan this in advance or was it just a coincidence? The Dodgers went on to win the World Series game that night after 18 innings (wow!) and we’re pretty sure it was because of Harry’s costume. Just saying. Judging from other images from the party, it looks like Harry was pretty stoked about the win too.

It’s obvious that Harry is a fan of the British music legend, but it turns out that Elton is also a fan of Harry’s music. After One Direction took their hiatus, Elton told The Daily Star that he was there for Harry in his solo career.

“I’ve seen Harry a few times who is great and I’m always on hand to offer him advice,” he said. While we’re not sure if he did give him any career advice, it looks like Harry definitely got more than enough Halloween inspiration from the legend. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to go bedazzle a Dodgers cap for our party tonight.
