Face masks are becoming the equivalent of house keys: you can't go out without them. While the cloth coverings can be a bit cumbersome to wear at times, studies show that they can reduce the spread of COVID-19 by up to 75%. As we wait for a vaccine to be developed, we can each do our part by sporting a mask in public and keeping our distance from others.

Now, face masks were obviously designed for safety, but nobody ever said you couldn't have a super stylish (or magical) mask. We've already seen Golden Girls masks, and Elvis Presley's Graceland, which reopened this week, is selling masks in its gift shop. Not your vibe? You can also snag yourself a super cool Harry Potter mask that's literally *magical*. This wizardry wear changes colors as you breathe, to reveal the Marauder's Map.

Behind the mask (both figuratively and physically), is crafter Stefanie Hook, who sells her handmade creations online through her company, Colorado Pony Express. Her one-of-a-kind store specializes in sensory integrated plushies and slime—and now due to COVID-19, face masks. She recently showed off some of her products on her TikTok, most notably the Harry Potter mask. As you can imagine, users were enchanted by the color-changing designs. Just watch.

She also showed off an Alice in Wonderland mask that she was testing.

Hook told Insider that she created these masks to "bring some magic" into the real world. While the masks were created using simple tools— an inexpensive sewing machine, standard sewing supplies, licensed cotton fabric, elastic, and of course the special color-changing pigment — the design process was lengthy. Each mask took her about 17 hours to create start to finish. "The majority of the time is waiting for the treatment to set into the fabric," she told Insider. However, "I've learned to make multiple at a time, production-line style, to maximize my efficiency," she adds. Although the masks are not medical grade, as noted in the product description, they were created using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's sewing instructions.

Now, you’re probably wondering how you can get your hands on this mystical mask. There's some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that her magical Harry Potter masks are currently sold out, but the good news is that Harry Potter masks will be restocked on May 29 at 5 p.m MT. You can order your mask here when the time comes (sadly, pre-order is not available). For now, you can also take a look around her site— the Barbie's Dream Slime is pretty rad, too.
