Family is always welcome—at least at royal coronations, apparently. In spite of the latest flurry of drama surrounding the release of the final three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries and a whole slew of reports suggesting they’re at the *very* top of the royal family’s collective 💩 list, word on the street internet is that the Sussexes are still going to be welcome at King Charles’s coronation next spring.

According to The Sun, the final guest list for the big event is still being finalized and Buckingham Palace hasn’t said anything official about Harry and Meghan’s invite status, but a royal source has said that “all members of the family will be welcome.”

Why? Because even if the royals aren’t thrilled (or are downright raging out) about what the Sussexes had to say in Harry & Meghan, that doesn’t change the fact that they’re still family.

“He loves both his sons,” a royal source said of Charles’s position on the ~whole thing~ (per The Sun).

Of course, this comes amid other reports/predictions from royal experts that suggest the most senior members of the Firm are full-on furious with Harry and Meghan over their comments in the Netflix series—particularly Charles and Harry’s older brother, Prince William.

“Rage. I mean, look, again, Harry talks about—almost matter-of-factly talks about—how his brother was shouting and screaming at him during this meeting. ‘Terror and terrorizing,’ I think was the phrase used,” royal expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly of the royals’ reaction to the second round of Harry & Meghan episodes. “William has a tremendous temper. Charles has a tremendous temper. It’s just not gonna be a pretty sight there.”

In case you haven’t watched all of Harry & Meghan yet, Andersen’s “terror and terrorizing” comment is a reference to a moment in the series when Harry discussed the way Will reacted during a particularly volatile closed-door meeting about the Sussexes’ royal exit.

“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that simply weren’t true,” he said in the doc. “And my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there and sort of take it all in.”

So basically, if Harry and Meghan do attend the coronation, it could be v awkward.
