Harry Decreased Work to Be with Meghan as She Prepares to Give Birth

Meghan Markle has weeks to go before she and Prince Harry welcome their first child together, but the mom-to-be is still putting in work. She doesn't have any more public engagements planned until the baby, but she's still working "feverishly" behind the scenes and meeting with some of her charities and patronages, Good Morning America reported today. As Meghan gets her rest ahead of delivery day, which will reportedly be in late April, her husband is keeping her company, even lightening his workload so he can be there for her.

"Sources close to Meghan say that like any new mom-to-be, she's feeling somewhat nervous as the due date approaches, but Harry is there by her side," royal correspondent Omid Scobie told GMA. "He's decreased a lot of his work to be there for his wife."

The Duke of Sussex's last public engagement was at St. Vincent's Catholic Primary School last Wednesday (March 20) to meet faculty and students and plant a tree in the school garden. His next appearance won't be until April 4, when he'll attend the premiere of Netflix's Our Planet at the Natural History Museum with Prince Harry and Prince Charles, Kensington Palace announced.

On March 19, he also stepped out with Meghan for a previously-unannounced appearance at New Zealand House, where they signed the book of condolence following the tragic shootings in Christchurch. Earlier this month, the duke also attended the annual Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall, and Commonwealth Day services with Meghan and other members of the royal family at Westminster Abbey.

Despite the fewer engagements, Meghan and Harry are still busy with preparations for both their baby and upcoming changes in the royal family. The Sussexes are set to create their own royal household separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton's and relocate from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. However, the move has been delayed by about a month now due to renovations, Omid Scobie told GMA.
