Harrowing Video Shows Man Pulled Off Boat by Shark in Everglades National Park

If you saw a shark in the nearby waters, would you dare reach in? We know we wouldn't, but one Florida fisherman decided to risk it while on a boat in Everglades National Park. He dipped his hands in the water twice before the large shark latched onto his hand and dragged him in.

Another fisherman caught the encounter on camera, so thousands of people have seen the shocking incident. The man got back into the boat with only hand injuries, but the video shared by KTLA 5 is still terrifying.

OMG! Our hearts skipped a beat when we saw the man tumble into the water, so we can only imagine how panicked his fishing buddies must've been. Thankfully, they managed to get him back in the boat--and later to the hospital.

According to NBC News, Everglades National Park reported that a visitor had sustained a shark bite on the hand while visiting. Though the severity of the man's injuries has not been publicized, it is known that he was treated on-scene by a ranger before being taken to the hospital.

As NBC explained, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue department "received a call at 10:10 a.m. Friday about a possible shark bite. An air rescue unit took a patient to a local hospital," so it's assumed that this was this man's transportation.

Despite receiving a massive amount of views online, taunting wildlife is not a smart thing to do. The National Parks have seen many incidents of visitors getting too close to wild animals lately, so this is just one more to add to the list. Hopefully, this man's hand will make a full recovery!
