May 17

Shakespeare on the Concho presents The Tempest – At BeTheatre in the San Angelo Performing Arts Center. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.

Summer Kickoff Concert with 12 Mile Band – At Nextlevel starting at 8 p.m.

May 18

Concho Valley Farmers Market – Across from Fort Concho at 7 a.m.

1st Inaugural VFW Car Show – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 125 S. Browning St.

Fort Concho Armed Forces Day – Fort Concho will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. There will be an hourly firing of howitzer from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Current and former military members will receive free entry along with their families.

Party with a Purpose – This Zumba Class, which benefits the YMCA will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the YMCA.

Summer Kick-Off Cactus Market Days – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 13 W. Twohig next to the federal building

Master the Trails – Bike the trails with a guide at the San Angelo State Park starting at 10:30 a.m.

Ballet San Angelo Showcase and Contemporary Works – Showcase performances will happen at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Contemporary works will take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Brooks and Bates Theater. Click here to purchase tickets or find more information.

Concho Valley PAWS Foster Adoption Event – 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Petco.

Guns N’ Hoses – The San Angelo Fire Department and San Angelo Police Department will be facing off in a basketball game at 2 p.m. at 1802 N. Lillie. Tickets are $3 at the gate or $20 for a family of four or more.

St. Joseph Catholic Church Fiesta Festival – At 200 West 43rd Street from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Reggae Party – Head to the Martial Pint from 2 p.m. to close for Jamaican-themed plates made by The Pit BBQ and listen to DJ Matty play Reggae all day.
