Hannah Waddingham Shocked Her Stylist With a Handmade Accessory From Her Daughter

While everyone’s eyes were on Hannah Waddingham’s stunning red gown, we couldn’t help but notice her clutch (and our hearts melted over the story behind it)!

During the 2024 SAG Awards, while speaking with Elaine Welteroth during her SAG Award pre-show interview, Waddingham revealed that along with rocking her stunning, high-slit red gown, her daughter contributed to her look.

“My daughter wanted to contribute, so she’s made me a bag,” Waddingham said via Parade, showing off her daughter Kitty’s cardboard creation. Waddingham showed off the accessory with pride: a homemade cardboard clutch that featured rainbow coloring and the word “epic” written on it. (Her daughter already has an eye for style, as we can see).

Waddingham showed off the bag, remarking how her stylist was rather shocked that she insisted on wearing this bag. And even her daughter was delighted over Waddingham being adamant over the style choice!

Not only do we adore Waddingham’s full ensemble, but we love this mother-daughter bond moment. And we’re sure her daughter was over the moon to see her superstar mama rocking the bag. Like mother, like daughter: they’re both stylish as heck!

For those who don’t know, Waddingham and her husband Gianluca Cugnetto welcomed a daughter named Kitty Cugnetto, sometime around 2016.

In a previous interview with TODAY, Waddingham talked about how much she adores motherhood. “She is literally by a million miles my greatest achievement and my little buddy. I’ve literally carved out a tiny little best friend,” she gleefully said.
