  • Emmy-winning actress Hannah Waddingham, 48, is back onscreen for Ted Lasso season 3, and she's looking more luminescent than ever.

  • To get her skin that radiant, Hannah prioritizes skincare over makeup—making sure to use only quality products.

  • "I'm absolutely obsessed with very, very good products. No rubbish," Waddingham says.

Emmy-winning actress Hannah Waddingham, 48, doesn't need to say much to show the effects of her thoughtfully curated skin routine—the proof is her face alone.

The Ted Lasso star, who just wrapped up press for the show's Season 2, is a self-proclaimed skincare fanatic, and has become increasingly so with age. For the actress on any given press or shoot day, it's always skincare first. "I want to see my skin care through my makeup," Waddingham shares. Despite her youthful topical glow, Waddingham also emphasizes the significance of harnessing beauty from within. "I think the beauty of getting older ... you probably know yourself a bit better than you did," Waddingham shares. "It's very nice to look in the mirror and see where you've been in life and all of your experiences."

When it comes to her go-to skincare products, Waddingham enjoys mixing and matching as well as keeping a loose budget—as the quality of the sought-out ingredients aren't necessarily contingent on the price tag. "I'm absolutely obsessed with very, very good products. No rubbish," Waddingham says. "There are some things in my regimen that are more low-key, and then other things that I spend the pennies on, because I don't want to ever have any intrusive things done to my face, because I'm scared of needles." If it means splurging on a topical remedy in lieu of an invasive alternative, the surgery-opposing actress is all in.

The actress walks us through the steps of her anti-aging skin care process and invites us along her sacred one-minute gua sha ritual. All the while, she shares her dating advice for young women and wise thoughts on reckoning with age. You can shop Waddingham's full routine below and read on for more highlights on how she organically retains her wonderfully radiant and youthful skin.

Waddingham begins her routine with her makeup removal of choice—Elemis's Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm—for its gentle removal, skin-plumping supplements, and versatility with both cleansing and moisturizing properties. "It feels like it's feeding your face at the same time," she says. Waddingham then goes into full-on cleansing using Elemis's Superfood Facial Wash, which keeps her skin looking super polished. "Even if I did absolutely nothing else, [Elemis items] are such beautiful products that my face doesn't feel tight or aching," she says. "Super, super clean and fresh, and [it] actually feels quite nicely plump."

Waddingham then kicks off her gua sha lymphatic drainage nighttime ritual, priming her face with Hayo'u's Beauty Face Oil. After pressing the oil gently onto her cheeks, she scoops a jade tool up her jawline and under the cheekbones to lift and de-puff. The actress finally opts for her most expensive product, Dr. Barbara Sturm's Super Anti-Aging Serum, which is packed with hyaluronic acid and other anti-aging properties that keep her face and other areas calm and moisturized. "When you're getting older, I'd rather spend money on the good bits that I know really work," she adds.
