Hannah Simone had a baby, and we’re thrilled for the new mom

Congratulations are in order! It was just announced that New Girl star Hannah Simone gave birth to a baby boy, and we’re so overjoyed for her. A rep for Simone confirmed the news exclusively to E! today, and said that her new arrival — who was born earlier this month — is happy and healthy.

Simone is a master at keeping a lot of her personal news under wraps, so we’re not expecting to see photos or hear information regarding a name anytime soon. Speaking of secrets, Simone married photographer (and new dad) Jesse Giddings in private last year.

What we do know is that these two are exceptionally cute together.

And we know, without a doubt, that they’re going to be fantastic parents.

Aside from her personal life, Simone has also dealt with pregnancy on her on-set life as well. During last season’s finale of New Girl, her character of Cece Parehk found out that she was pregnant.

According to Deadline, the eighth and final of the season of the show will feature a three-year time jump, so there’s a good chance that Cece and husband Schmidt’s child will appear next season. (Even though to be honest, we would have loved to see Cece through those nine months!)

Next season will only have eight episodes, but we have a feeling that each and every one will be pretty incredible.

We wish nothing but love and support to Simone and her husband. Having a baby is a life-changing event, and we know these two are already handling the new addition like professionals.
