Halsey Matched Her Pink Hair to Her Dress at the American Music Awards 2018

Halsey may be “Bad at Love,” but she sure is good at awards season glam — and her head-to-toe “pretty in pink” look at the 2018 American Music Awards proves it.

The singer arrived at the awards show Tuesday night showing off a hot pink dye job in the exact same shade as her outfit. She paired her black and pink tie-dye gown with rose-colored tresses, which were shaved short on the sides and left long on the top of her head. She complemented the look with shimmery pink and purple eyeshadow, and creamy pink blush and lipstick that matched her hair perfectly. She notably walked the red carpet with her on-again boyfriend G-Eazy, who is still wearing the platinum spikes he debuted over the summer.

Considering Halsey changes her hair constantly, it’s no surprise that she would show up to a red-carpet appearance rocking something daring and different. This year alone, she’s worn her tresses in everything from long and dip-dyed in blue to a full-blown buzz cut. Most recently, she’s been rocking the short cut in her natural brown color.

Halsey actually spent the majority of last year wearing wigs in order to allow her shaved hair to grow in, and posted a photo to Instagram in August showing off a head full of curls. “New growth, new growth; all these fades I outgrew ❣️,” she captioned the shot. When some fans questioned whether it was actually another one of her wigs and not her real hair, she sounded off on Twitter. “I can’t believe I spent a whole damn year growing out my curls under those wigs for y’all to say my natural hair looks like a wig,” she wrote, adding, “Some f*cked up sh*t lmao.”
