Halsey Cries While Singing "Sorry" During Common Ground Music Festival

Aaaaand now I'm crying, too.

Fans are rallying behind Halsey after the singer got emotional during a concert on Friday, July 6. According to E! News, while performing her ballad "Sorry" at the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan, Halsey started crying during the song's bridge, which has some particularly poignant lyrics.

"Someone will love you," she sang through her tears. "But someone isn't me." The moment was captured on video by Twitter user @hopelessgalore, who wrote: "Homegirl started crying ... so I started crying ... I love u endlessly."

Halsey, who recently announced her breakup with rapper G-Eazy, received a ton of support from fans after her emotional performance. "Halsey cried while singing 'Sorry' and I wanna hug her," one person wrote online. Another fan weighed in to confess that the moment made them "sob violently at 8 a.m.," while this Twitter user responded to the video by saying "My heart hurts for her."

Halsey has been relatively quiet on social media since announcing her split from G-Eazy on July 3, with only a handful of posts on Instagram and Twitter in the past several days. She told her fans about the breakup via Instagram stories, writing that she is "eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career and the duration of my tour."
