'Halo-Halo' Summer Event Paves the Way for Inclusivity Among BIPOC Riders

On July 8th and 9th, the invited professional snowboarders will be heading to the Pacific Northwest for a new event. On next weeks Monday and Tuesday, on July 10th and 11th, Snowboy Productions will be putting on a first of its kind event called Halo-Halo, which is a summer snowboarding event aimed to help pave the way for inclusivity among BIPOC riders. This event is taking place at Timberline Lodge at Mount Hood in Oregon.

Halo-Halo ( ha‧lo-ha‧lo ) is the ultimate Filipino summer dessert that consists of shaved ice, alongside colorful and flavorful layered components meant to be mixed before being consumed.Like the dessert, we are bringing together a unification of Black, Indigenous, People of Color voices of amatuer and professional snowboarders, industry leaders, terrain park builders, filmers, photographers and youth outreach organizations to share time, space and conversations while building, riding, and documenting a one of a kind snowboard park on the slopes of Mt Hood on July 8-9.
