Halloween 2019: Where to Get Deals, Spooky Food, and Other Special Offers

Halloween is known for trick-or-treating—a time-honored tradition where kids don their best costumes and flit door to door in search of free candy. However, if you're not planning on haunting the neighborhood or are beyond the age when trick-or-treating is deemed socially acceptable, several restaurants and food brands are also offering treats and other deals to honor the spookiest night of the year. Applebee’s and Chili’s have special themed drinks on the cheap; Papa John’s has a jack-o'-lantern-shaped pizza, with several party deals to boot. Find those offers and more below, and keep coming back up until October 31 as we add more.

Applebee’s

During all of October, you can order (if you’re 21, of course), the Dollar Vampire, a drink made with rum, dragonfruit, passion fruit, strawberry, and “real fangs.”

Bonefish Grill

The restaurant will serve happy hour all night, with cocktails for $5 and "Bar Bites" (e.g. Crispy Cod Sliders, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Crispy Broccoli and Shrimp Toast) for $6. If you're ordering from home, you can also score free delivery from DoorDash and Uber Eats on orders of $15 or more, no code needed.

Burger King

After debuting the Nightmare Whopper in 2018, Burger King is back with another spooky burger—The Ghost Whopper, comprised of "savory flame-grilled beef topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions on a White Cheddar Cheese flavored, white sesame seed bun." In other words? It’s a Whopper with a white bun. Boo! It's only available at 10 locations to check the link above.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Carrabba's will offer free kids meals with the purchase of an adult entrée on October 31 (dine-in only). Car side to-go and delivery orders will also be 20 percent off.

The Cheesecake Factory

Between Monday, October 28 and Thursday, October 31, you can score one free slice of Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake or Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake with orders of $30 or more on DoorDash. Use the promo code “TREATORTREAT” to get the deal.

Chili’s

The chain’s $5 “Margarita of the Month” for October is the “Fangtastic ‘Rita,” made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, Monin Blood Orange, and fresh sour. It’s the perfect spooky drink for Halloween.

Chipotle

Chipotle's "Boorito" deal is back, and it's two-fold this year. If you show up in costume after 3 p.m. on Halloween, you can get a burrito, bowl, salad or tacos for just $4. However, if you have a TikTok account, you also have the chance to win free burritos for a year. Simply post a TikTok featuring your before and after Halloween transformation—make sure to use the hashtags #Boorito and #Contest. The top five posts with the most likes will win.

Cicis

Kids dressed in costume for Halloween will get a free unlimited kid's buffet meal with the purchase of an adult buffet meal and large drink. All you need to do is present this coupon.

Denny's

To celebrate its new partnership with Beyond Meat and the launch of the Denny's Beyond Burger, Denny's will let guests try the burger for free on Halloween when they purchase any drink. (The offer will run while supplies last between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.) Since the burger is only available in the Los Angeles market, the deal, too, is limited to that area. But you can expect the Denny's Beyond Burger to launch nationwide in 2020.

DoorDash

On October 25, DoorDash launched an "Eat Your Costume" promotion, which rewards customers for dressing up as their favorite food. All you have to do is take a picture in the outfit, and post it on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #DashOWeen. (Make sure you're following DoorDash.) Then, DoorDash will dm you a $10 credit toward ordering that food—one lucky winner will get $1,000 in DoorDash credit and a free year of DashPass. The offer applies to every photo posted from now through 11:59 pm on Halloween.

Dunkin’

Dunkin’ brought back its Spider Donut for Halloween, and customers also have the chance to win free doughnuts this month. The Dunkin’ Runner (a mascot dressed in the brand’s first-ever official Halloween costume) will be running to several Dunkin’ locations around the country this month, according to an announcement—at each location, 200 customers will receive a free Halloween doughnut.

Friendly’s

Kids 12 and under (accompanied by an adult) who wear a Halloween costume to Friendly’s will receive a free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entrée. The best part? The deal runs from October 25 through Halloween, so you have plenty of time to plan a visit.

IHOP

If you order IHOP via DoorDash, you'll get a free two-stack of Web-cakes (pancakes with spider web-esque design) for free with orders of $25 or more. The deal is valid through Halloween—use the code "WEBCAKES" to redeem it.

Insomnia Cookies

Score 10 percent off orders of $10 or more in the week leading up to Halloween with the code "treat10."

Joe's Crab Shack

On Halloween, kids eat free at Joe's Crab Shack with the purchase of an adult entrée (costumes are welcome, according to the website).

Just Salad

If you show up dressed as a salad for Halloween, you'll get a free salad.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme debuted three new character doughnuts specially for the holiday—“Slimon, the Slime Monster Doughnut,” “Hypno-Henry, the Cake Batter Monster,” and “Mumford, the Mummy Monster Doughnut,” which we got to try when they launched. As an added bonus, if you show up to Krispy Kreme wearing a costume on Halloween, you’ll get a free doughnut of your choice.

McDonald's

Delivery through Uber Eats is free between October 26 and November 1, in case you're craving a Big Mac after you go trick-or-treating.

Mrs. Fields

The cookie company has plenty of themed tins and combo boxes, including a “Say Boo! Cookie Cake” and “Mystery Mansion” package loaded with cookies, brownies, and Halloween popcorn. Use the code “Fall” to get 20 percent off site-wide.

Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub

Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée (one kid's meal per each adult entrée purchased). The deal is valid for children 10 and under.

Papa John’s

Papa John’s has a few promotions going on for Halloween. The first is the return of its "Jack-O’-Lantern Pizza," which is—you guessed it—a pumpkin-shaped thin crust pizza complete with a pepperoni smiley face. If you head to the “Parties” section on the restaurant’s website, you’ll also find several Halloween-themed offers. There’s the “Scary Good Deal,” which includes five large one-topping pizzas for $42.50 and “feeds 10-15 mummies, goblins, or zombies for about $3 each.” You can also opt for the “Jack-O’-Lantern Deal” if you’re really hungry, which feeds 15-plus people and includes the signature pumpkin-shaped pizza. Check out the website for more.

Rainforest Cafe

Purchase an adult entrée on Halloween night and you'll receive a kid's meal for $0.99—just make sure you mention the deal when you order.

Red Lobster

If you plan on ordering online from Red Lobster this Halloween, use the code "LOBSTER62" when you check out—you'll get free delivery on your order. (Orders must be at least $30 to qualify.)

Shari's

All of Shari's pies are on sale for $9.99 through the month of October.

Yard House

Yard House will serve a special all-day happy hour that includes half-priced pizzas and $2 off draft beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
