Hallmark's 'Home & Family' Show Is Ending After Season 9

From The Pioneer Woman

It's a sad day for Hallmark Channel fans everywhere. The network's popular lifestyle series Home & Family is coming to an end in August.

“The 9th and current season of Home & Family will be the series’ last,” a spokesperson for Hallmark Channel told Variety in a statement.

Hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison, Home & Family features tips on home improvement, crafts, parenting, lifestyle, and health and fitness.

“For nearly a decade, the show has anchored our daytime lineup, featuring countless hours of cooking, lifestyle, DIY, health, entertaining, and decorating segments,” the spokesperson said. “We want to thank the heart and soul of the show, our incredibly talented cast and crew—led by co-hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison—for their creativity, hard work, and dedication.”

Home & Family has been beloved by fans and critics alike, with six Daytime Emmy nominations for outstanding lifestyle program under its belt, including one in 2020.

Like a lot of shows, Home & Family has faced production difficulties due to the pandemic. It's currently in its second COVID-19-related production hiatus, but thankfully we can look forward to more episodes soon.

The show is set to resume filming its final episodes on Monday, March 29. It will return on Monday, April 5 with a new one-hour, three-day-a-week format. The final episode will air on Wednesday, August 4th.

Until then, we'll be over here watching Hallmark's Spring Fling movies and processing the sad news about Home & Family. Debbie and Cameron really are the best and it's hard to imagine mornings without them and the rest of the cast, including lifestyle experts Kym Douglas, Ken Wingard, Maria Provenzano, Lawrence Zarian, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and pet adoption expert Larissa Wohl. Not to mention all of the fun visits from our favorite Hallmark movie stars like Lacey Chabert, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Taylor Cole. Our own Ree Drummond even stopped by the show in 2015.

At least we'll always have the memories—and the DIYS—of the Home & Family family.
