Hallmark’s First Ever Easter Movie Premieres This Weekend

Hallmark is our go-to television destination for all things wholesome entertainment. Of course, we already know that. We schedule our lives around the Countdown to Christmas parade of holiday feel-good films. This year, we’re loving the new line up of spring movies that are dominating our Saturday night plans right now. But for the first time ever, the beloved television network announced they will premiere their first-ever totally Easter themed original movie.

Easter Under Wraps debuts this Saturday night, April 20, 2019. The festive film stars Fiona Gubelmann and Brendan Penny and the plot centers around Erin Cavendish (Gubelmann) going under cover at her family’s chocolate plant to figure out why sales have declined. (Think Undercover Boss style) Of course, she crosses paths with the head chocolatier, handsome Bryan (Penny) and the two team up to create a spectacular chocolate Easter egg. We can only assume that delicious chocolate with a side of falling in love is developed in that factory.

Leading up to the premiere, Gubelmann reminisced with Hallmark about her childhood Easter memories. Check out the video below:

We’re sure this film will become an instant classic and family favorite for all this Easter. It’s hard to bet against a joyful holiday Hallmark film. And those who are regulars to the sweet as candy television movies, both Gubelmann and Penny should be familiar faces. Gubelmann starred opposite Jesse Metcalf in Christmas Next Door and also opposite Torrance Coombs in Royally Ever After. Chesapeake Shores fans will surely recognize Penny as well.
