Hallmark Fans Won't Stop Celebrating Lacey Chabert’s Christmas Movie News on Instagram

Prepare yourselves, Party of Five fans. Bailey and Claudia Salinger are reuniting onscreen for a special occasion.

On June 28, Hallmark Channel announced a new holiday film for their annual "Countdown to Christmas" lineup, which will feature Lacey Chabert and her former TV co-star Scott Wolf as a brother-sister duo again. Titled A Merry Scottish Christmas, the festive project centers around estranged siblings Lindsay and Brad, who don't have the best relationship. Still, they fly to Scotland to reunite with their mother Jo (Fiona Bell) for Christmas but a family secret might just change dynamics.

Soon after the news broke, Lacey voiced her excitement on Instagram. " A dream come true!" she captioned a photo of her and Scott. "I’m so thrilled to be reuniting with one of my dearest friends @iamscottwolf for a very special @hallmarkchannel #CountdownToChristmas movie! We are having so much fun filming #AMerryScottishChristmas and can’t wait to share it with you this holiday season! 🎄❤️🎄❤️."

Lacey wasn't the only one who couldn't believe the news. 9-1-1 actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who co-starred on Party of Five as Bailey's girlfriend Sarah Reeves Merrin, shared how thrilled she was for them. "Omg! Yes!!! Party of two," she commented on the Mean Girls alum's post.

Fans also couldn't help but be elated over Lacey and Scott's film venture. "Best news ever 😍," one person wrote on Instagram. "Love this!!!! A sweet reunion!" a different follower exclaimed. "So excited to see this one!" another agreed.

While Lacey is a frequent face in Hallmark movies, this film with Scott is significant for her. A Merry Scottish Christmas marks 23 years since they starred onscreen together, something the higher ups at the network are ecstatic about.

"We are so excited to reunite Lacey and Scott and know our viewers will fall in love with this movie," said Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media, per Deadline. "The nostalgia of seeing Lacey and Scott together again on screen is going to be a special holiday treat for our viewers."

As for Scott's view on the project, he's just as enthusiastic about it. "Working with Lacey on Party of Five was one of my favorite experiences ever,” he said in an official statement to the outlet. "Reuniting after all of these years to tell such a beautiful story together is a dream that I’m so glad is coming true."
