Before she was starring in all our favorite Hallmark movies, Lacey Chabert was just Gretchen Weiners trying to make "fetch" happen. But she recently looked back on her iconic 2004 Mean Girls role with throwback pictures on Instagram and fans couldn't contain their excitement.

The actress celebrated nearly two decades since the classic teen comedy premiered in 2004 with a rare post on April 30, that paid tribute to the role that brought her so much joy. The photo gallery, which shows her with co-stars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried on the original movie poster and other promo shots from the movie, was paired with a caption in which Lacey gushed over the lifelong connections she made and how honored she was to be involved.

"I can’t believe it’s been 19 years since #MeanGirls was released! I’m forever thankful to have been a part of this special movie," she wrote. "The friendships that were formed because of it still bring so much joy to my life. Thank you to the fans for all of the support & love over the years 💗."

Unsurprisingly, viewers were thrilled to see the rare reference to her old project. Without skipping a beat, many headed to the comment section to share their thoughts and favorite quotes.

"HOW⁉️⁉️ TIME FLIES😍 AND YOU MADE FETCH HAPPEN😜💯‼️" one person wrote on Instagram. "Seriously such a classic! And you have not aged at all!" another added. "Is it Wednesday yet @thereallacey because we still wear pink 🙌🏻❤️," a different follower said.

What's more, even fellow Mean Girls co-star Jonathan Bennett chimed in after spotting himself in the second photo. Hallmark viewers may know the two still work together. "Best part of shooting this movie was your friendship," he commented.

Although many comments were begging for a reunion, Lacey's busy schedule would make it a hard project to take on. As some may know, her latest movie, the ballroom dancing murder mystery The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango, premiered on June 2. And we're sure it's only a matter of time before she starts filming new movies for the holiday season. In the meantime is anyone down for a Mean Girls rewatch?
