The holiday season is around the corner, and Candace Cameron Bure is officially returning with a new Christmas movie on GAC Family. But not all of her former Hallmark fans are excited to flip the TV channel.

On September 13, People exclusively revealed that the Full House actress is releasing her first film with her new network Great American Media via her production company Candy Rock Entertainment. Set to premiere in November, A Christmas … Present will feature Candace playing Maggie Larson, “an overly scheduled real estate agent and Type-A mom,” who rediscovers the true meaning behind the holiday that goes beyond gift giving.

Shortly after the news broke, Candace took to Instagram to express how thrilled she is about the upcoming project, which she’ll also be working on as an executive producer. “SO HAPPY to announce that Candy Rock Entertainment is underway with their first Christmas movie of the season starring…me 🙋🏼♀️,” she wrote. “’A Christmas…Present’ 🎁🎄 will premiere on @gactv this November! #christmasiscoming.”

Reacting to the Fuller House alum’s announcement, fans were elated to hear that Candace has already planned her return to TV. “Yay!!!! Cant wait!! ❤️👏👏👏👏,” one person wrote in her Instagram comments section. “Woohooo 🎉🎉 Best time of year is coming! 🎄,” another added. “Yay!!!! Congrats on all your hard work.❤️👏❤️,” a different fan said.

On the other hand, many couldn’t help but be disappointed by the change. As folks know, Candace made the move from Hallmark to GAC Family in April. At the time, viewers shared their disappointment — and now, it sounds like many of them are still upset by the lack of access to GAC.

“I don’t get GAC and can’t afford more streaming 😢 Guess I miss it,” a follower commented. “So disappointed I won’t be able to see any of you great actors that I loved from Hallmark who have moved to @gactv because I don’t get @gactv. 😔,” someone else said. “Gactv isn’t even offered in my area. Will this be available to buy or rent on iTunes?” another chimed in.

While it seems like GAC Family movies are available on iTunes or streaming services like Hulu and Peacock, there’s no word yet on how fans can watch A Christmas … Present after it premieres. Apart from tuning in live on the GAC Family cable channel (check out the TV providers offering it here), folks can also find the channel on Hulu Live TV, Frndly TV, Fubo TV, Philo and Sling TV. What’s more, the network is launching a free app called Great American Community on September 26, making it easier to watch Candace’s projects without needing to sign up for another service.

As for what the upcoming movie will be about, the actress spilled a few more details. "A Christmas … Present is about slowing down enough to recognize what's right in front of our eyes," she said in a statement, per People. "The hustle and bustle of the Christmas season will arrive before we know it but it's through the quiet moments that we hear God speak to us, directing our path to what's most important."
