Hallmark Fans Applaud ‘Mystery 101’ Star Kristoffer Polaha’s Next Project After Cancellation

As one door closes, another one seems to have opened for Kristoffer Polaha.

It's been a few months since Hallmark Movies and Mysteries announced the cancellation of the actor's series Mystery 101, and fans want to know what is next for him in his career. Well, in a post uploaded on Instagram, he revealed that his next project will be the Amazon Prime Video thriller series Shelter, based on the Harlan Coben book trilogy of the same name. What's more, Kristoffer shared that he's not only starring alongside son Micah, but the release date for his latest acting venture is quickly coming up on August 18.

"Merely weeks away," Kristoffer captioned the teaser trailer posted on June 24.

He wasn't the only one thrilled by his latest acting news. Shortly after he posted the video online, author Harlan replied with his own excitement, writing, "Here. We. Go. 🔥."

Just like the Life Unexpected alum and Harlan, Hallmark fans were equally excited about Kristoffer's first role after Mystery 101. Unsurprisingly, they immediately shared kind words in the comments section.

"I am so excited for this! I cannot wait!" one person wrote on Instagram. "Well, I’m sold! (To be fair, I’m sold on pretty much everything with @polahaha 😆, but this teaser was legit 🔥🔥🔥)," another added. "How exciting! Looks like it's going to be really good!!" a different follower replied.

Now, what exactly is Shelter about? According to a press release from Amazon Prime Video, the series will follow a young boy who moves to a quiet town after the death of his father. As he finds himself entangled in the disappearance of another student at his school, he starts to learn the truth behind the residents living in the quaint community.

Kristoffer is set to portray Brad Bolitar, per IMDB. Whether he'll be in one episode or multiple, we'll just have to wait and see when the show airs this August. But one thing is for certain, we can't wait for TV comeback!
