In Hallmark Channel's latest Fall into Love movie, Notes of Autumn, several of the network's most beloved stars gather together to bring not one but two unique stories of self-discovery and romance into one film—and one ultimate house swap. Ashley Williams and Luke Macfarlane play best friends who decide to swap houses in hopes of rediscovering their inspiration.

What is Notes of Autumn about?
Ellie (Ashley Williams) is a fun-loving, classically trained pianist living in the city who gave up on her passion long ago. Now working for a hotel, she always seems to be getting things wrong—but then one day, musical inspiration strikes. Meantime, her best friend Leo (Luke Macfarlane) lives in the rustic outskirts of British Columbia. He’s a famous author with writer’s block who can’t seem to finish another installment of his highly popular book series.
Realizing they both need a change of scenery as the chilly days of autumn settle in, they decide to swap places, only to find themselves completely lost in new surroundings. Ellie gets tangled up in helping Sam (Marcus Rosner), Leo’s neighbor, put together a musical performance for a local fundraiser and comes to terms with why she quit music years ago. Leo strikes up a friendship with Ellie’s good friend Matt (Peter Porte) and opens himself up to writing something different that really inspires him.
Their newfound friendships turn into something far more meaningful, and as both Ellie and Leo take part in the joys of the autumn season, they also discover their hearts belong somewhere very different than they ever thought possible.

Meet the cast of Notes of Autumn
Ashley Williams (Ellie)
Williams has starred in several Hallmark Channel movies, including the Sister Swap movies opposite her real-life sister, Kimberly Williams-Paisley. She came up with the idea for Hallmark Media's "Make Her Mark" initiative, an on-the-job mentoring program where aspiring female filmmakers shadow more experienced directors and producers on the production of a Hallmark movie, with the intention that they will direct their own Hallmark film in the near future.
Luke Macfarlane (Leo)
Macfarlane is a fan-favorite on Hallmark Channel and has starred in popular Hallmark fare like A Shoe Addict's Christmas, Taking a Shot at Love, and Moriah's Lighthouse. His character in the film plays the cello which Macfarlane does IRL.
Marcus Rosner (Sam)
Rosner stars as revered son Austin MacMurray on Hallmark Channel's latest series, Ride. He has also starred in several rom-coms including Hallmark Channel's Love on Harbor Island, UPtv's A Vineyard Romance and Lifetime's Sweet Mountain Christmas.
Peter Porte (Matt)
Porte has toured with the Broadway National Touring Company of Mamma Mia! and has appeared on Days of Our Lives, Uncoupled and New Girl. For Hallmark, he has starred in Rome in Love, A Gift to Remember and Love at the Shore.
