WATCH: Hallmark's New Christmas Movie Is Set In One Of Our Favorite Small Holiday Towns

There’s Dahlonega, McAdenville, and Abingdon. There’s Andalusia, Branson, Lewisburg, and Eureka Springs. Then there is Helen. In fact, last night, the Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas" wouldn’t let us forget about Helen. Saturday night’s premiere of “The Sweetest Christmas,” which stars Purvis, Mississippi, native Lacey Chabert, takes place in Helen. And we just know that it must have been inspired by our very own Helen, Georgia, the small town with the charm of Bavaria tucked within the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. (The film was actually filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia; check out the unforgettable movies filmed in the South here.)

The magical movie is all about a struggling pastry chef (Chabert) competing in the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition. Like so many of our Hallmark favorites, it brings together tradition, small town reunions, old memories, old loves (enter Lea Coco), and Christmas baking. Watch and find out who wins the competition–as well as Chabert's heart. And we promise–it is one sweet, sweet Christmas story.
