Halle Bailey celebrated her 24th birthday today in the most special way: by posting the first pictures of her 3-month-old son Halo!

The Little Mermaid star, who welcomed baby Halo in Dec. 2023 with rapper DDG, kept her pregnancy under wraps and has been private about her firstborn son. Now, she is sharing his cuteness with the world, while blurring his face to continue to protect his privacy.

“This is 24 🥰🎉💘🎂,” Bailey captioned a post on Instagram today. In the first picture, she is wearing a purple bikini and is covered in white and black body paint, which is even spread all over her face. Baby halo is wearing just a diaper, covered in matching body paint as his mama holds him tight in the sweet picture. You can’t see his facial features, but you can see his hair — which is the exact same dark brown shade as his mama’s.

Halo pops up in another photo with his mama, this time giving her a sweet kiss on the cheek as she poses for a selfie in front of blue sky and green trees. Bailey looks so happy with her son in her arms!

The carousel also includes photos of The Color Purple star in her purple bikini before she was covered in paint, looking gorgeous on a balcony over deep blue water. It looks like they went on a relaxing getaway for her birthday, and we are officially jealous! Her partner DDG is also there, covered in paint that spells out “Halo’s Daddy” on his back in one picture.

“Awwww Halo is sooo cute and chubby. I love chubby 👶🏽 she looks so happy! I love all this for her!” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “i can tell the baby looks like her.”

Her sister Chloe Bailey commented, “my halle and halo 😍😍😍” So sweet!

The “Angel” singer announced her son’s birth in January, with a sweet picture of his hand. “even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son..” Bailey wrote on Instagram. “welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨ the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”

Last month, Bailey opened up about how motherhood has changed her. “I feel like I’ve reached this new level of maturity, especially being a mother now, which is so crazy to say,” Bailey said during a GRAMMY U Masterclass talk, per Entertainment Tonight. “It has opened up a whole new can of worms for me, honestly. I am obsessed with my baby. It’s insane.”

She added, “It’s literally like your heart is in your hands in this beautiful being. I just feel like I have such greater purpose and so much more to do for him and so much more that I want him to be able to experience. It gives me a new motivation and drive and passion for myself, for my family, for my life.”
