Half Pipe Skier Completes "Perfect" Season With Seven Wins

This weekend, professional skier Alex Ferreira completed a perfect season of competitive halfpipe skiing with a first place finish at Dew Tour in Copper Mountain, Colorado, winning seven out of seven events he participated in this winter.

Aspen Daily News notes that his accomplishment is "believed to be the first undefeated pro season."

"It was my goal at the beginning of the season and I achieved it," Ferreira wrote on Instagram after taking his final gold at Dew Tour. "It just goes to show that if you believe and put in the work anything and everything will happen for you."

Ferreira put down a dominating performance during the Dew Tour halfpipe event, earning the two highest-scoring runs of the day. He rolled the dice during his third and final run when he attempted a double cork 1800, ultimately crashing. Had he landed the trick, it would've been a halfpipe competition first.

Not one to refuse an opportunity to one-up himself, Ferreira later posted a video of himself landing the double cork 1800 in the Dew Tour halfpipe outside competition.

Ferreira was joined on the podium by Brendan Mackay and Nick Goepper, who took bronze and silver, respectively.

Goepper, who transitioned into halfpipe skiing after a successful slopestyle career, earned his highest-placed run so far this season with the second-place finish.

He also continued his unconventional tradition of wearing jeans during the event, capping the look off with a bright red, flame-adorned helmet.
