Figuring out what to wear during a heatwave can be difficult enough—after a few days of weather verging on 100 degrees, all of your lightweight linen pieces are probably soaked through with sweat. But what do you do when you also need to perform onstage in such sweltering humidity? Leave it to Haim to handle this tricky balance in effortless fashion.
Bathed in bright stage lights in the midst of a country-wide heatwave, the California sisters headlined the Pitchfork festival in Chicago this past Friday in matching black and tan Acne suits. Their sparkling, gossamer-thin ensembles were a glamorous alternative to the obvious warm-weather staples (tank tops, spaghetti-strap dresses, and the like). Plus, with a suit jacket you can always unbutton it to reveal your lingerie underneath, as Danielle, Este, and Alana each did after their set, naturally. Hot girl summer, indeed.
