Hailey Bieber Will Not Rest Until All of Our Skin Is Thoroughly Glazed

Hailey Bieber remains steadfast in her commitment to giving everyone the gift of thoroughly "glazed" skin. On Wednesday, her skin-care brand Rhode unveiled Glazing Milk, the first permanent addition to the product lineup since it initially debuted a year ago.

Meant to be used post-cleansing, pre-glazing (with the brand's Glazing Fluid) and moisturizing, the milky-textured, ceramide-packed facial essence aims to boost skin's barrier function, provide hydration and enhance that glow-y, ultra-dewy finish that has become the signature of Rhode and Bieber herself.

The formula includes a trio of ceramides to soften and smooth skin while preventing moisture loss, as well as magnesium, copper and zinc to offer antioxidant protection and enhance suppleness. The product promises both "instant sheen and softness" with a "soft, supple, bouncy feel" and longer-term results including reduction of redness and a more luminous overall complexion.

In its year of existence, Rhode has faced down lawsuits, expanded into the Canadian and U.K. markets and dabbled in limited-edition drops, like a passionfruit-scented version of its Peptide Lip Treatment. But the introduction of Glazing Milk is significant considering the brand's founding philosophy of "one of everything really good" — with minimalism is at its core, any new drop must be done with intention and tact.

For fans of the brand's existing products, the Glazing Milk offers many of the same qualities associated with the Glazing Fluid (which is, ironically, a thicker and technically less fluid texture than the Milk, if you want to get into semantics). It's lightweight and smooth on skin, absorbs quickly and doesn't pill when layered with subsequent formulas. Of course, it yields that same Rhode ultra-dewy finish, and it even costs the same as the serum ($29).

So, why is this a necessary formula to add to the Rhode lineup, one might wonder? It's less of an advanced "active" formula, for one; its relatively no-frills ingredient lineup omits the firming, bounce-ifying peptides found in the serum. Instead, it turns its focus to soothing, hydrating, repairing and enhancing skin's own ability to protect itself. For those who are more concerned about hydration and redness, the Milk might be a helpful addition.

Plus, the launch provided Bieber with an opportunity for an... interesting... photo shoot.

Rhode Glazing Milk will be available on June 15 for $29 exclusively via the brand's website.
