Hailey Bieber Was Hospitalized for a Blood Clot in the Brain

Hailey Bieber was hospitalized this week with a brain-related condition, TMZ initially reported on Saturday morning.

The outlet confirmed that the supermodel was admitted to a hospital in Palm Springs after suffering a "medical emergency" that doctors thought could be COVID-related. TMZ wrote that the condition "affected the way she moved, and the symptoms are typical for much older people." Hailey is 25 years old.

Bieber has since been released from the hospital and addressed the news on her Instagram Stories with a clear medical diagnosis. "On Thursday morning I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," she wrote. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours. Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!"

She added, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love."

Just last month, her husband Justin Bieber tested positive for COVID-19 and had to postpone a few concert dates in his Justice World Tour. He has now fully recovered from the virus, and is back on the road again. In fact, Hailey attended his latest show in Los Angeles on Tuesday, and posted pictures of her concert-going outfit on Instagram. Backstage, she took a mirror selfie that showed off her look, which included a cropped red Harley Davidson tee, purple drawstring parachute pants, and a fuzzy red and black bucket hat. "last night 🍓," she captioned the gallery.
