Hailey Bieber Dressed Like Princess Diana and We're Obsessed
There's no denying that the late Princess Diana was one of the most influential fashion icons of all time. Diana pushed the envelope of royal dressing, not only in her formalwear but in her more casual moments as well. The People's Princess has long served up style inspiration to the masses, including her royal daughters-in-law, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, who channels Diana from time to time in their wardrobes; think Kate's gorgeous coats and her sapphire ring, and Meghan's California casual glamour.
Another young icon is currently channeling Diana's free-spirited casualwear: Hailey Bieber. The model posed for Vogue Paris dressed like Princess Di in some of her most famous low-key looks. Hailey's been posting pics from the shoot to her Instagram, writing, "All credit and inspo to the amazingly beautiful and iconically stylish Princess Diana who I’ve looked to for style inspiration for as long as I can remember. Thank you for leaving behind such an iconic fashion and style legacy."
The shoot was inspired by iconic paparazzi pics of Diana out and about in the world, and we see Hailey-as-Diana out for a jog, lacing up her shoes on a tennis court, and strolling along in loose-fitting jeans, cowboy boots, an oversized blazer, and baseball cap, a clear homage to this photo of Diana. Diana had a penchant for wearing oversized sweatshirts and bike shorts while heading to the gym, and we see Hailey mimicking the comfortable-chic look in a few pics, sporting a few covetable sweatshirts as she poses Diana-style. We see her in a "Maine" sweatshirt while holding a dog and having lunch with a friend in a gray Kenzo pullover and baseball cap.
Hailey's not the only one feeling the People's Princess's fashionable vibes. There's been a resurgence of interest in Princess Diana's personal style. Recently, one of her most famous gym-going sweatshirts sold at auction for over $50,000, and Man Repeller recreated Diana style with a 2019 twist.
