Hailey Baldwin Reveals a Dramatic New Dye Job in Los Angeles

Considered a dye-hard blonde, Hailey Baldwin recently traded in her golden blonde for a pastel pink color that’s worth a double take.

Ever since tying the knot with Justin Bieber in November, Hailey Baldwin has been a shape-shifter when it comes to her hair. First, she took the plunge with a transformative cut in December—a long bob style that made the case for entering a partnership with a fresh, clean start. Now, she’s bringing that experimental spirit into 2019 with a shocking pastel pink dye job.

This weekend, the model stepped out of Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood donning middle-parted lengths dyed a soft raspberry hue. No stranger to the color, the model debuted a similarly electric shade at the 2018 Met Gala, the pastel glaze playing off her romantic, off-the-shoulder gown and flower crown at the time. This iteration, worn with a midriff baring top and oversized men’s blazer, said more business casual than pretty in pink. And while pastel dye jobs often fade quickly—Gaga’s blue hair has already transformed into a cool silver—only time will tell if Baldwin commits to the frequent upkeep a neon shade no doubt requires.

As for the meaning behind her new look? Perhaps it’s extending that fresh-start feeling as a newly married woman, or maybe it’s a New Year’s resolution to take more beauty risks. Either way, we’re excited to see how it all plays out.
