Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber aren't sitting front row at the American Music Awards tonight, but Baldwin is being supportive of her husband's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez from afar. The model liked a video that Gomez's makeup artist Hung Vanngo shared of Gomez before her opening performance at the AMAs. "#SelenaGomez x #AMAS2019 ❤️🌟⚡️💫✨⭐️," he captioned the video.

Selena Gomez fans noticed less than an hour after Vanngo posted it, Baldwin liked the post.

Gomez opened the AMAs with her first live performance of her new singles "Lose You to Love Me" and "Look at Her Now." The songs are believed to be inspired by Gomez's real-life final breakup with Bieber and her feelings watching him move on with Baldwin so quickly. Gomez and Bieber reportedly took a break in March 2018 that became a permanent breakup. In June 2018, Bieber started dating Baldwin. They got engaged in July 2019 and married in September 2019.

It's been a year since her breakup, and Gomez has made it clear in interviews that she is in a very different place than she was when she first wrote "Lose You to Love Me." And Baldwin has quietly shown her support for Gomez on Instagram multiple times before this year. Baldwin liked three other Instagrams that Gomez's friends have posted of her in the past couple months.

The two don't follow each other on Instagram now, but Baldwin was a vocal Selenator when she was younger and a big Jelena fan. Oh No They Didn't compiled some of Baldwin's old Selena Gomez tweets from 2011 to 2013 where she raved about the singer. In one, Baldwin tweeted, "Selena Gomez is so cute. Don't argue. Bye." In another, Baldwin wrote, "Selena Gomez is so friggin good looking." She may just feel the same way now.
