Hailey Baldwin Comments on Engagement to Justin Bieber
It's been nearly two months since Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin made their engagement Instagram-official. Since then, the couple has continued to keep a fairly public profile, sharing in matching moments and even a sweet date with baby pigs. The two have clearly been having fun together, and, as Hailey explained in a new interview, that's exactly what this period in her life is all about.
Hailey recently spoke with Australian publication Stellar, where she revealed how she's feeling about her engagement to Justin. "I'm beyond excited," she said.
The model went on to address how she's handled any criticism of the engagement, saying, "I don’t think it’s affected me really. I have learned to just try my best to ignore the negativity at this time so that I can enjoy this season of my life."
The interview marks the first time that Hailey has spoken publicly about her engagement to Justin. She previously confirmed the upcoming nuptials with an adorable tweet made on July 9, writing, "Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with! No words could ever express my gratitude."
Her social media remark came after a lengthy Instagram post from Justin. In a photo of the two shared by the Biebs on July 9, the singer had some heartfelt words for the future bride, writing, "Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindly."
There's no official word on a confirmed wedding date, but TMZ previously reported that the couple may wait until next year.
In the meantime, it's worth nothing that although both Justin and Hailey have been very public in sharing their love, it's never the place of others to speak out against the couple. Celebrities are people too, and fans should let them enjoy this time together.
