It’s no mistake that Sagittarius rules the zodiac during the holidays—this jolly, fun-seeking sign embodies the spirit of the year-end’s festivities. Governing the calendar from November 22 through December 21, their lively personalities make the season’s celebrations all the brighter. This fire sign, ruled by Jupiter, brings boldness and passion on their never-ending hunt for adventure.

Don’t let the archer’s free-spirited side fool you—these philosophical thinkers are also on a perpetual quest for discovering a deeper comprehension of themselves and the world around them. “Sagittarius is freedom-seeking as well as the most knowledgeable and insightful sign of the zodiac. They will bounce around the globe to understand themselves and others better,” says astrologer Lisa Stardust. For Sagittarius'sfloral horoscope (or as we like to call it, "Floriscope"), read on.

According to Stardust, carnations exemplify the archer’s soulful nature: “These flowers represent love and kindness, which are attributes of Sagittarians,” she says. To bring this sign to life, Birmingham-based florist Mark Thompson devised an arrangement using only carnations. The fluffy blooms—ranging in shades from pink and peach to lilac and cream—symbolize Sagittarius’s warm, passionate nature. Carnations are misunderstood flowers that are often cast as mere fillers; study them more closely and discover the rich color and longevity they can bring to arrangements. The same can be said for the archer, whose philosophical depth takes more effort for others to uncover but is undeniably beautiful once found.

Sculptural stems of vibrant American beautyberry symbolize the sign’s bravery. “Their fiery energy allows them to assert their beliefs as well as defend others who are in need of being heard,” Stardust adds. Thompson created an asymmetrical shape, representative of the sign’s adventurous free spirit and how their journeys to discover the deeper meaning of life will take them to all corners of the world.
